250,000 jobs in Australia for Filipinos

Recruitment agency MAB international Services Inc. (Mabis) and some of its partner-employers from Australia have agreed to stop the collection of fees from Australia-bound Filipino workers. Interested applicant can check out their web site at http://mabis-inc.com/index.php or you can submit a CD or Floopy Disk containing their well-detailed Curriculum Vitae and other credentials to 2nd Floor, AMO Bldg., 92 New York St., Cubao, Quezon City.

this 250,000 jobs , is this substantiated with actual job orders? why poea listings seems not to be reflecting this figure in their database. earlier report reported about 22,000 skilled workers only.

I’m a plain housewife, i just want to be sure if i’m still qualified for the job, since i’m already 46 years old. I’m a management graduate, i was a secretary at Quezon City Hall under the City Council. I’ve been jobless for years now and I really still want to work for my daughter. I’m a single mom for 7 years already, i hope I’m still qualified for the job. Any clerical work will do.
Also, are you accepting an undergraduate applicant? I’ve a daughter who wants to apply for a job. she knows a lot of work also, she’s still studying at the University of the Philippines, taking up management, 3rd year irregular and finished a short course in computer.

FOR PROFESSIONAL APPLICANTS
- Below 45 years old (Ideally 42 years old Below)
- Bachelor / Degree Holder
- PRC License, if applicable
- MUST HAVE At least Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience (In ANY POSITION)
- Got a score of at least 7 in IELTS Academic Test or 6.5 in Reading and Listening, 7 in Writing and Speaking (for Registered Nurses and Hospital/Retail Pharmacists)
- Applicants without IELTS must wait for the go signal of the Employer to take the IELTS EXAM if they are qualified
FOR SKILLED WORKERS

Hi Noel, I’m Rodel Rimandiman 29 yrs. old, married and no kids. I’m currently working in Malaysia, Kuching as a Senior Mechanic for 5 yrs. and now I’m holding a position as a Senior Executive Technician. I’m also a qualified Toyota Automotive Technician at Toyota Cebu Inc. for 5 yrs.
My wife is also working here as a office clerk of Timber Export company for two years and shes working previously at Philippine Sports Commission-Philsports Complex as a Marketing Officer I for 2 yrs. and 10 months.
I’ve already applied one of the agency registered in POEA cebu but no responce, maybe because my availablity date stated in resume is October 2008, its been a long time we’ve heard it from Migration expert and even in Australian Immigration that skilled workers were very demand and is listed in MODL,infact were supposed to apply for direct migration to Australia but we should pay for certain fees and we can’t trust anybody especially paying big fees through the net.Now I think is our opportunity to apply with no PLACEMENT FEES.
WE are very keen to apply and we will submit our application at soonest possible time.

Hi, 2 all those whose interested regarding in the job open in australia, yes, australia need 250,000 workers not our agency needing 250,000 applicants. As a matter of fact some of the authorized agency may evaluate to or get some applicants carrying some oppotunities to deploy in the said country. For those who submitting their resume online, we evaluate first for some information regarding to the position they are applying for, after that, we have to pass they CV’s to the employer for final interview, if they qualified, thats the time were able to call the qualified applicants. So far from now we have no idea for the schedule of interview, yet, the opportunity becomes long term.

I’ve just read the article about the 250 000 jobs here in Australia. I live in Sydney and have been here since 1989. There’s heaps of Filipinos living here, and also in Melbourne.
Australia has big demand right now for:
- accountants/finance
- factory workers
- NURSES!! – absolutely guaranteed… also other health/medical positions
- building and construction
- engineering
- trades
and for those who have other experience:
- Fruit picking, farm work and seasonal work
- Hospitality and food service jobs
- Retail jobs
- Temporary administration and secretarial jobs
The labour environment here has pretty good working conditions. I would say fair and workers rights are highly protected. Good luck!

i would like to know if recruitment for filipinos to australia has gone to a standstill or just lied low. i said this because it seems filipino workers don’t get a fair share of it.
i already applied after this australian media hype but no response or reply at all. all news says there is construction boom but reality doesn’t show it.
Though, Qatar, UAE and KSA are still HOT for filipino expertise.
An update us on this issue will be much appreciated.

I am currently here in Sydney for a vacation until JAN. 12, 2008. May i know if you have an office here so i can go and do some personal inquiries. i am very interested in migrating here in Australia.
I have a few issues or things to clarify. I am a registered nurse in the Philippines by profession but never practiced this profession.
However, i am for 10 years currently employed as a medical representative of a multinational company. This is a sales and marketing industry for medical and pharmaceutical products. I have passed the MRAP accredidation program for this industry in the philippines.
With this, i would like to ask what kind of job that would fit me in australia in respect to my work experiences and my college degree.

Blated merry X-mas! Anyway I’m Clifford I’m from Cebu City i finish vacational course as an I.T technician i got experience 5 years in philippines then i Try apply abroad.. I got a job in Iraq as an Administrative Specialist Serving with American Air Force, and Soldiers.It’s really pretty okey in here with regards to my work and salary but one thing problem is…. I’m really homesick Coz i don’t got yet vacation coz i can’t come again in here coz of our gov… that alwayz care a lot of thier countrymen but they can’t give good oppurtunity. that’s why I’m here it’s better ot die with RP’s and Mortar’s in Alqueda terrorist than iv’e been togther my family that sacrifice in every single day.. and most of all i can’t give rigth Education to my Child..

Migrating to Australia takes a lot of work so please don’t be easily deceived by people who make it look easy. There’s a lot of money involved as well. I applied for skilled migration (independent) and I tell you, the cost and the effort is quite a lot. Please go to the immigration website of australia to determine if you have the skill and money to go towards getting a visa. http://www.diac.gov.au or better yet join the forum in http://www.philippines.com.au and see the challenges of migrating to australia.

People all I can tell you is I think this is all BS. Working in Canada and US does not really required a Degree as long as you are a hard worker and come to work in time no skipping. Only Philippines agency are so greedy and a ripped off. That’s why our Country are so poor because of this greedy people who like to take advantage of the needy. I feel sorry for the people in our Country especially poor people. Philippines should not have an age limits for a job. In the US you can be 75 and you still can find a job. Philippines have discriminate against Ages and Education.

I am Mary Karen from Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. I had a work experience of 2 yrs. and 10 months as an Adidas Apparel Merchandiser in one of export companies here in MEPZ, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. I am a Customs Administration graduate. I am already 25 yrs. old and jobless right now. I already have my IELTS 6.5 average.
Is there any job available for my qualifications? Any office/production/hotel works will do for me.
Also, I have been to Sydney, Australia twice last September 2004 and May 2005 for our concert tour in Australia.We were having concert tours around Sydney, Canberra and the rest of New South Wales. Would that earned some points for qualifications? I hope so…Pls reply me soon.
