OA naman sa hype yang pagiging presidente ni obama basta panindigan nya lang lahat ng mga pinangako nya noong election.
we don’t want the people to get upset because you break your election promises, do we Mr. President?
January 21st, 2009 at 9:15 am
OA? The inauguration ceremonies and celebrations related to the inauguration of the president is an American tradition. Nothing OA about it. In the case of Obama, it is also historic as if you didn’t know that already. He also enjoys 80% public support while the outgoing president, ex-Pres Bush is at an all-time low. That is extremely high and perhaps it is the highest ever enjoyed by any American president. That’s a lot to celebrate about.
So history trivia for everyone:
The White House was built by black slaves.
At one time in American history, blacks were only considered 3/5 that of whites.
It was also at one time illegal to marry anyone from a different race.
Martin Luther King Day was celebrated a day before the inauguration of the president (yesterday). In his (MLK’s) historic speech, he talked about “his dream”. Pres. Obama is the epitome of that dream.
Pres. Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation which in effect freed the slaves or made slavery illegal. In one of his speeches yesterday or the day before that, Obama paid tribute to Pres. Abe Lincoln who also happened to be from Illinois also, just like Obama.

naku reveller IYO NA YANG TRIVIA MO.

Fattyacid, I’m not forcing the trivia part of my response on you or on anyone. As if I can, specially with someone like you. I wrote them for anyone who wants to read them. I’m not forcing them on anyone’s throat. I also only responded to your post, not to have a pissing contest with you, but becoz I needed to explain to you why things happened the way they did during Obama’s inauguration becoz I live in the U.S. and I could understand better the American experience and the collective American psyche, rather than someone, like you, who live outside of this land. You seem to have a chip on your shoulder. So you care more about what’s happening in the Philippines. Hey, don’t let me stop you for doing so. But in case you didn’t notice, the article above is about the 44th President of the United States, not the “Worsening Situation in the Philippines.” Lighten up. With people having an attitude like yours, no wonder the situation there is getting worst.

by Martin Luther King Jr.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today!
I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of “interposition” and “nullification” — one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.
I have a dream today!
I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; “and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together.”
The statement proves that Obama destined to the Great Leader in the future. And realizes the dream of the Great Martin Luther.
