The winners (especially for Bb. Pilipinas World) were as surprised as the crowd and homeviewers when the decision was announced…
The pageant’s theme this year was obviously, all beauty less brains…No solid, outstanding response during the Q and A portion and definitely a lot of humiliating answers…
I thought the last finalist would grab Bb. Pilipinas – world and am sure the rest of the candidates were expecting it….if you noticed, the rest of the ladies went to the last finalist to console her…they thought she’d get it…she was the only one that spoke straight…
if i could have it my way, i would the last finalist for world, no. 7 for universe still and the 2nd runner for international, though the latter paused it was because she was being real about her emotions…
crazy screening committee…this year’s theme for bb pilipinas should be…all beauty less brain…
for sure manok na naman yan ng kung sino…
such a shame really….i have nothing against her but the pageant would be a good learning experience for her…but not the crown really…
there was no top 5 with final question…why? to not further the humiliation with the not so good responses from the finalists?
bb pilipinas has lost its glitter…they might just wanna make sure to improve it next year…or wrap it up…

well, it’s been common knowledge that this pageant is tainted with politics. Nampoocha! nagpuyat pa naman ako.
Was rooting for no 8 and no 15 but during the Q&A, I would have fallen from my seat if I was sitting down. 
Eh di lalo na nung sinabi ung winners, halos magtumbling ako. I expected #8 to win and # 15 to finish dead last. My choices were, Universe:#8, World:#13, International:#7. Siguro kasi nakabroadcast sa GMA7 kaya 7 nanalo. 
Hahaha, I’m sorry, hahaha. 
Practice? Sobrang hirap magpractice ng Q&A para sa beauty pageant. Eh hindi mo nga alam questions e. (Siguro puwede kung magspend ng 3 months daily practice he he) Yung confidence and inherent “smartness” ng contestant ang aasahan niya dun. Oh well, good luck to us sa Miss World!

Pilipinas-World, WALA NAMANG QUESTION AND ANSWER SA MISS WORLD PURELY BEAUTY AND VOTING…, and Im sure itra-TRAINING naman siya ng Bb. Pilipinas Charities, FOR SURE!!, “EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!”, malay niyo??

We all make mistakes, and I think she didn’t expect it either so don’t judge her for being so not into speaking English we’re all just human being after all.

#8 danielle castano should have won the universe crown. if i were to have it my way, it would have been #8 danielle castano for universe, #13 tabetha jo frick for world, and either of #7 jennifer barrientos and #2 patricia fernandez for international…
#8 was asked by dennis trillo about the biggest problem she ever faced and how she overcame it. she answered that it was the separation of her parents. she overcame it by realizing that if she hadn’t experienced that, she would not have been as strong a person as she is now. i think she gave a great answer worthy of a crown…
as for #15 janina san miguel… don’t use being a 17-year-old and a neophyte as an excuse, because there are lots of girls your age (even kids) who can answer that question better…

Nina did a goo job and even if her answer wasn’t the best, I think she won the judges over because of her charm. Klase ko po yan. Alam ko first time niya talaga sa ganitong beauty pageant so give her a break. She’s a nice girl and she worked just as hard as the other 23. She deserves it. Good job Nina, we’re all so proud of you. Good luck for Ms. World.

I understand she was nervous kasi nga first time sa big pageant like this. Pero sana kasi when she knew she couldn’t say it well in English, diniretso na nya tagalog. Anyway nagtagalog na din sya. She even said “wait lang” “oh my Gooood!”
If she’s done that, baka pinalakpakan pa sya ng marami, after all they’re competing for a title of “Bb. Pilipinas”.

oo nga sana nagtagalog na lang or whatever dialect she’s comfortable with. eh yung mga taga venezuela nga may interpreter pa eh. eh kaso kung hindi talaga sya smart wala rin kwenta. eh tutal sa miss world sya nilagay kasi wla naman daw question and answer dun. (pero nung panahon ni ruffa meron ah).

omg, it was a total disaster i’d go for #13 and #8 for either universe or international and #7 for world..
so yeah #15 was nervous and sure good for her that she was still confident after the booing but still.. so what if she was confident? it isn’t the only factor of being beauty queen you should also have brains she should’ve just spoken in filipino maybe she would be deserving to win if that’s what she would have done

Who is behind this beauty pageant?. I hope you will not have nightmares.This Bb. Pilipinas Beauty Contest was politically sabotage and terrorize by influential people.It’s a disgrace that until now our country is still manipulated by maniacs and evil minds. will get confused with her English.Judges don’t sell your soul for dirty bucks and ?!!!!. 2008 Bb Pilipinas Beauty Pageant winners is an insult to Filipinos. The deserving candidates was single out without regards and no respect by this impostors and hipocrite people in our society. Enough! what kind of judges did you hire? they are not fit for the job! some doesn’t even have experience in judging at all……. next time I hope I can see that there are experienced judges in the competition who’ll look at the candidate and see if she deserves to win…..

anak ng pating bat nanalo si # 15. e, ang bobo nya sumagot. hindi rason ang first time at 17 yeats old. hindi training ground ang bb. pilipinas sa pagsagot, pageant na yun.nalaglag ako sa upuan ng i announce ang nanalo para sa ms. world. para na rin nating binigay na lang ang korona sa ibang bansa pag sya ang pinadala natin as representative para sa ms. world. sayang lang ang puyat ko, hindi worth.

matatalino sumagot ang iba hindi katulad ni # 15. ngek. bat nanalo un,hindi talaga karapat dapat.tama ka jai, brainless sya. ha! ha! ha!

no. 15, grabe naloka ako ng malaman ko n sya yung nksungkit ng crown, npnood ko lang kasi s showbis central ung results and kumakain ako nun, grabe ung food ko n i was about to intake naiwan s ere… shocked talaga ako, npanganga ako ng bonggang-bongga..
actually mix emotion nga eh, parang pity to the girl n din kasi di talaga sya deserving, it should be no. 8 or no. 24

inihahanda nang GMA Network na GMA Films, para sa ABS-CBN film company
na Star Cinema. Ito ay para daw pagsamahin ang prinsipe nang GMA
Network na si Richard Gutierrez at isa sa mga prinsessa nang ABS-CBN na si
KC Conception, sa isang pelikula. Pero marami din ang nagsasabi na ito
daw ay di umanoy isa sa mga dirty tactics nang GMA Network para sirain
ang ABS-CBN. Alam naman daw di umanoy nang GMA Network na hindi papayag
ang ABS-CBN dahil sa, marami namang artista lalake ang ABS-CBN na may
kakayanan, sikat, at magaling umarte na pedeng iparahe kay KC. Kaya di
umanoy hindi iisipin nang naturang network na kumuha pa sa ibang
istasyon, o makipag joint venture sa kalaban. Marami rin ang nagsasabi na di
umanoy ang GMA Network ang nasa likod nang pagpapalaki nang issue at
pagpapalawak, tungkol sa joint venture na inihahanda nila. Di umanoy,
ginagawa ito nang network para lumabas na masama ang katunggaling network.

no offense meant really but the only two i can say na magaling magsalita are yung last finalist (forgot her number) and yung nagkasakit (if not for her long pause coz of drama antics)..
the rest of the girls responses were either wrong grammar, “trying hard” english twang and forgettable answers…
i don’t think anyone can be a first timer…don’t tell me d pa sila sumasali ng kahit isang beauty contest? kahit na sabihin malaki na tlaga ang bb. pilipinas, d ba sa mga baryo baryo ang nananalo palagi is yung maganda ang sagot?
and why the *%&% didn’t the last finalist even land in the runner up? what an injustice….
pangit tlaga mga sagot nila…they know they’ll be under fire and a lot of pressure during the Q and A…alam na nila ano gagawin nila sana…

Very dissapointing talaga ang pagkakapili sa candidate no. 15, janina san miguel, akala ko sa mga local telenovelas lang nang GMA 7 ginagawang bobo ang mga pinoy dahil sa mga nakakainis nilang mga eksena (like in marimar), pati din dito sa Bb Pilipinas pageant ganun din, kaya wala tuloy manalo-nalo na pinay sa miss world eh, pati ba naman eto ay pinupulitika pa! tama na! sobra na! palitan na si stella araneta!

ang pageant ay hindi jiunujudge kung pwede magimprove ang candidate.ito ay hinuhusgahan sa mismong oras na yun kung pano sya sumagot at kung anu pang factors. what happened is really sumthing to be worried about. di lang sya ang kahiya-hiya, tayo din. buong pilipinas. she’s beautiful but i think she’s not deserving to be this year’s winner. being a representative of the country is a great task, we should give it to someone really really deserving. this is not to insult her. this is just the reality.

yoh Janina bein 17 is not an excuse,if u don’t mind i won at our school for a certain pageant when i was “13″ & i was able to air out my thoughts on the question superbly!… i was a neophyte then & all my other competitors are 2-4 years ahead of me…but i standout… i am a living witness to contradict on ur so-called “alibies…”
**durin my 4th yr in College, i tried my luck for Ms.P**** but then i was a victim too of such “sabotage or manok-manok” pageant,it’s painful…so friggin painful!
–>do not blame ur age for not being able to answer it perfectly…just accept the fact that ur just not that good..sad to hear but it’s the truth, reality bites sweetie…
my advice for you:
dont say it in Englsish,mag Chinese ka na lang,i guess ur the only one who even understands ur Chinese word…

OO talaga, nanggipuspos talaga ako ng marinig ko na siya ang nanalo kasi ng marinig ko ang sagot niya sa question and answer sure na talaga ako na bagsak na siya. Palagay ko iniinsulto ng kung sino mang judge ang nagbigay ng overwhelming vote sa kanya, ang ibang mga contestants na mas mahusay at kasing ganda niya. Maganda siya, oo, maganda ang pagdala niya ng katawan at mukha niya, pero mas maraming mas shapely ang body, mas may height, mas maganda, at mas may sense kung magsalita. Wala talagang kasense-sense. i was not able to watch the bb pilipinas, but based on the cretics and opinion of the viewers and the readers, it seems to me that the result of the pageant is very disastrous, what really happen on the night of the coronation.
And why is Dennis and Marian included on the panel of judges when infact their are a lot of qualified personalities in the alta sociedad.
Maybe GMA has a great support to the organizer of the pageant.

joining a beauty pageant is indeed a nerve-rocking experience, i know. nonetheless, i think it is such a lame scapegoat for watever kapalpakan a contestant wud do. grace under preasure! that’s a must for every beauty candidate. if you don’t have the brains, atleast you must got the grace. no offense meant but personally, i think Ms. Janina doesn’t hav any of the two. so why let her win? a 40 million dollar question!

well..maybe u can call it as luto..i dont know janina personally but we might want to give her a chance. Judges saw something from her that made them decide to have this girl get the crown. Its just a matter of how we accept things and give constructive criticisms. we better support her for she will represent not only her family and herself but US as a whole (Filipinos). Thanks

anong right ni Marian Rivera, Dennis Trillo and Chris Tiu na magjudge?? They don’t know anything.. I have nothing against them or GMA or anyone.. pero naman, Binibining Pilipinas is not just a BEAUTY pageant.. mali na nga ung English.. wala pang thought ung sagot!!!!!!

how can you prove that miss Janina dont have brain? atleast she did her best and have courage to join the pagent and even though you said she dont deserve it,… well i consider her deserving. Her character being down to earth and humbling herself admitting and very sorry that she did fail that interview portion and did not meet the expectations of viewers i admire most. she is being just herself. her pronunciation was good and she has the potential to speak a good english. she only has a poor vocabulary. speech defects can be corrected and janina can manage it. we must consider weaknesses of a candidate for not most of the them came from a well civilized society nor a wealthy family who can afford to give quality education. Janina on the otherhand was not that fortunate to have the skill of knowing and speaking english language very much as well as to elaborate words that far to form a good grammar. but all people know these things could be learned by time. can i ask you a question? were you born that intelligent? of course not. were you born speaking other language fluently? of course not. Even though your native language you dont know how, but what important thing is that your parents could understand you even though you dont speak and just cry.. they will know what you are up to. just like janina. by time she can be a good speaker, a well educated woman. and we will soon be proud off. yes in fact your right at some point, BEAUTY was of course the first requirement. for every other thing could be learned. all of us has a brain actually. and unique in all means.
who do you think looks stupid now? the ones that made janina won her title? or those who cencure her for being not that intelligent answering a question? other candidates for miss world have interpreters by the way… it is just that some filipinos are boasting and pretending that they can afford to speak a fluent english. even though they look verbose. it is just a matter of “show off”.
