Sultan of Sleaze, David Hans Schmidt has been arrested by the FBI over the accusations that he tried to sell film star, Tom Cruise, a large cache of private photos of his November 2006 wedding to actress Katie Holmes.

FBI spokeswoman, Laura Eimiller, said that Schmidt has been taken into custody at an undisclosed location in West Hollywood. She also said that she could not discuss further details about the charges against Schmidt because the case was under seal while further investigation proceeded.

The records on the US Bureau of Prisons show that Schmidt is currently in the federal detention center in Los Angeles and is being held on $100,000 bond.
