after the long wait, i was screaming and feeling overwhelmed when the countdown to the show started on the huge screen. i could feel the open field build up at the 15 second time to the show. when the lights went out and the screen showed ’sa wakas’ we were all crying. eto na. we were going to see them again. the four emerged from this green water lights and we were in shock. eto na sila. right before us.
a group in front of us were crying while screaming. we couldn’t believe it that the band is right in front of us. together again. the show was perfect, the lighting awesome. better than a foreign concert.
the band played around 12 great songs that by the time the show took a break we were already so fulfilled.
then after a while we felt na ang tagal na nga ng break.
finally marcus, raymund and buddy came up to the stage without ely.
akala namin,ely probably walked out.
we were shocked when ely’s sister annonced that he has been rushed to the hospital.
all of us were speechless. a girl beside me was crying.
sobrang emotional ng show. the best show still in philippine history. from the stage, the lights and the way the show had to be cut. walang tatalo sa concert na ito.
to ely, get well soon. to buddy, marcus and raymund, we understand. salamat for reuniting for us. the 12 songs were already worth it. salamat.

The countdown was really breathtaking..
Being able to witness the eraserheads concert was a dream come true…
I agree to those who are saying that “sulit” na yung concert… makita at marinig ko lang sila ng Live pwedeng pwede na tlga,… pero mejo malungkot parin kasi ang dami ko pang gustong marinig na songs nila..
It makes me feel sad thinking that it might not happen again…
sana may repeat..
gusto ko pa tlgang makita ang ERASERHEADS na magperform…

i am currently based in one of the cities here in the visayas. when i heard of the concert (last aug13) over kris aquino’s show (deal or no deal), i knew right there and then that it was destiny for me to know that there will be a reunion concert… (i rarely watch local shows in the evening. and seeing ely buendia playing deal or no deal is a bit nostalgic). i made up my decision to go. the very next day, i got my plane ticket and arranged on how to get the concert ticket
to cut my story, i arrived in manila at around 1 pm on aug30 and immediately bought the concert ticket. i was there, when the concert began. i am staring at the stage in disbelief, knowing that it was a great effort and feat for my part to be there (i work in a hospital and i did not informed my boss that i will be gone that afternoon).
when the how began, i felt goosebumps on my skin and i was palpitating like hell. i can’t believe that i will be seeing them again after a long long time as a band. We were jumping like there was no tomorrow and we were chanting “grouphug! grouphug!”, taunting them to frogive each other and be friends again for the sake of their most loyal fans. The songs made me remember my teenage years, and made me see again my long lost friends (my dormmates and classmates back in college. i graduated in one of the universities in manila). i realized that the concert itself is a great achievement, knowing that it was only a dream several years before if the eraserheads will ever be reunited again. No band can surpass, or just even equal what they have done that evening (i’ve heard that around 35,000 tickets were sold and the organizers just sold the tickets for 3 days before the concert).
when the concert was cut short, admittedly, i felt bad because i risked losing my job just to see them in concert. But looking at it in a different perspective, i was happy for seeing them perform about 12 of their best songs is reason enough to celebrate. it didn’t matter that it was cut short. what is importnat is the effort and the joy they have brought back to the lives of their millions of fans worldwide.
i am praying that mr ely buendia will regain his health in the quickest length of time. i know that this will not be the last. somehow, they have come one step closer to fullfilling my ultimate dream… reuniting again FOR GOOD and reliving the iconic lives they have for their loyal fans out there. and when that time comes, i will be there again to witness their rebirth..
to ely, marcus, raymund and buddy: thank you so much for such wonderful conceret and i promise you guys that i will be there again in your next concert, even if all hell break loose… come what may

From Randy Santiago’s song “BABAERO”
NUMERO UNO, NUMERO UNO
NUMERO UNO daw kayo
sinung may sabi, si wilma galvanti
dididi naman totoo
puro imbento, sari saring kwento
basta MADUGAS kayo.
NUMERO UNO, NUMERO UNO
NUMERO UNO daw kayo
sinung may sabi, si wilma galvanti
dididi naman totoo
puro imbento, sari saring kwento
basta MADUGAS kayo.
PEACE!
