La Salle beats Ateneo, to face UE in the UAAP Finals
Posted by: iostream @ 12:20 am in: Sports (1,682 views) October 1st, 2007The De La Salle Green Archers got the remaining UAAP finals spot with a 65-60 win over their rival Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) Blue Eagles, in their final face off this season at the Araneta Coliseum Sunday.
The Archers, who nipped the Eagles, 70-69, on September 18 to clinch the No. 2 spot in the Final Four and the twice-to-beat advantage, dropped a 64-65 decision to the Eagles last Thursday.
Before facing the Archers for the last two successive games, Ateneo beat defending champions UST Growling Tigers as arranged by the tournament’s step ladder format.
