Launch of Google Search on Friendster

Google’s search bar can be seen on top of every page of Friendster and the Google search results will be displayed within the Friendster page along with the sponsored links. Being the 17th largest website in the world, Friendster is pleased to have deployed Google’s web search in Asia and worldwide.

That’s a bullsh*t press release. There is no partnership. Integrating the Google search feature can be accomplished by any webmaster.
Friendster employed the Google search feature on their own initiative because they earn every time a visitor uses the same.
And notice how the Google search is integrated in Friendster’s pages. It’s placed in such a way that it misleads users. Users are led to believe that they are searching for friends in Friendster’s pages when in fact, they will be searching for contact details through Google’s search engine.
Users get frustrated because they have to redo the search.
And Friendster laughs its way to the bank.
