What to do yani?

I hope you are doing it for the right reasons at hindi lang para sa kikitain ninyo dahil diyan mawawala ang credibility ng magazine ninyo kung meron man.

Siguro dapat gawing lechon delicious na lang or malucious (for malicious dahil sa baluktot na pagiisip niya)ang title ng column niya ano kaysa divalicious di kasi bagay.

first and foremost, di naman magazine yung manila standard today. FYI: dyaryo yun. napaghahalatang wala kayong karason-rason bago magdadakdak. ang hihina ng kukote. basta na lang sumasama sa bandwagon. kaya kayo walang identity kasi puro kayo bandwagon mentality. bago kayo magsasalita ng ganyan, sana binasa nyo muna ung column ni malu about the same subject sa manila standard today. makikita nyo na wala dun yung tungkol sa mga OFW, sa people asia yun pinublish (people asia is published by the philippine star, not manila standard today). hence, yung naka-galit sa mga OFW, sa people asia lumabas, hindi sa manila standard today, kaya kahit parehong tao yung nagsulat, di pareho yung column, kaya walang paki manila standard today kung tanggalin man sya sa people asia at kung galit lahat ng tao sa kanya. nagagalit kayo kasi nang-lait kamo ng tao itong si malu fernandez. e ba’t kayo, di ba nanglalait din kayo ng tao? pinagtatawag nyong oink, etc. yung tao. inggit lang kayo, kasi mas sikat lola nyo kesa sa inyo. bad publicity is still publicity. e kayo, hanggang comments lang. habang sinisiraan nyo sya, lalo syang sumisikat, lalong mas maraming kukuhang kolumnista sa kanya in the near future kasi sumisikat sya. di nyo ba naisip yun? ang hihina talaga kukote. puro galit, di muna mag-isip. tsk..tsk..tsk.. marami din akong kamag-anak na OFW, sinong Pilipino bang wala? pero bago kayo manghusga, dapat inaalam nyo mabuti yung issue.

only one thing i discovered in malu fernandes personality.. a self proclaimed elitist…
with regards to her statement that we need bitches like her to.. sori miss fernandes.. in the first place nobody wants a bitch… my sister is working overseas not just domestic helpers but a highly trained mathematics instructor not to mention that she also worked as a house helper. she lives in L.A with other OFW too, but they are very proud to be a filipino… yet they are ashamed now because of what you have written in your nonsense article.

This is really the first time that I have seen her article, after more than two years of controversy, yet I can’t help but to react. An excellent journalist always writes the truth. She might have been a good journalist but she failed in so many aspects that she have not succeeded in anything good in her behalf. Her article is a clear manifestation of an elites point of view to the reality of poverty in the Philippines. Instead of laying the statements down as a fact, she wrote it down with pure air of arrogance without giving substantial facts on the OFWs’ side. She didn’t bother to think why these Filipinos have to go abroad to work on duty frees or why they only managed to buy cheap perfumes and so on. An true journalist studies what she writes. It is not about the people not getting her wit, it is about the content of what she wrote. If this is what she calls the wit of the elite, then I would rather be a proud peasant working on the fields, because these people knows how to look at the two sides of a coin.
