Posted by: iostream @ 11:50 am in: Sports (1,112 views) May 3rd, 2009Philippines’ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao knocked out Great Britain’s Ricky “Hitman” Hatton during their 12-round Light Welterweight title superfight today May 2, 2009 (May 3 – Philippine Time) at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
In their first round, Manny Pacquiao knocked Ricky Hatton down twice. Pacquiao finally knocked Hatton down with a left punch during the final seconds of the second round. Manny is now the first Asian fighter in history to win five titles in five different weight divisions.

Kaya naman po nagtaas ang advertisement rates mula 10% last year at another 10% this year. kung kumikita po ang network na yan ay hindi na nila kailangan magtaas ng ad rates dahil puro remake at adaptation lang naman ang kayang ipalabas! At hindi na nila babaguhin ang format ng QTV-11 into news channel.
At the end of ist quarter naglabas po ng data ang gma na 3% na ang nababawas sa ad minutes nila dahil nag cost cutting din ang mga advertisres ng kanilang spending.. Kasabay nito ang pagbaba ng audience share nila sa megamanila simula february ng taong ito…
Para hindi mapahiya sa mga advertisers.. biglang nag press release na hindi pala bumaba ang ad loads kundi tumaas pa ng double digit??
Asan na namn ang consistency nito??

At last the Pilippine National Anthem was sung with the right tempo and power by Martin Nievera. Everyone in the past who sung before a Pacqiao fight overdid it very soft and often very slow making it sound like a lullaby almost. Ever noticed that? In fairness maybe there’s one or 2 exceptions.

congrats manny! galing talaga ng pinoy. super duper late na ang telecast ng gme. nanonood ako ng shake rattle and roll ng magfash sa tv ang pagkakapanalo ni manny sa round 2 pa lang ng laban. it was around 12 o’clock. then i tried to switch the channel kasi gusto kong makita kung paano pinabagsak ni many si hatton. to my desmise, di pa sina manny ang naglalaban. tapos sobrang dami ng commercial. pinagkaperahan talaga ng gma. di na baleng masakripisyo ang show basta kumita lan ng pera. poor station kasi. then inilipat ko na lang ulit sa dos. pagkatapos kong panoorin ang ang one more chance. tiningnan ko ulit sa gme baka nagsisimula na. buti naman t nagsisimula na. pero pag commercial inililipat ko sa os kasi gusto ko panoorin ang asap kahit replay. mas enjoy kasi akong panoorin yon kesa sa sandamakmak na commercial. boring! mabuti na lang at 2 rounds lang.

Ang galing talaga ni Manny!! Bwisit lang talaga ang GMA puro commercial.. kada kilos eh commercial.. hay naku.. sana kasi kapamilya nalang xa.. lumipat pa kasi xa eh.. tapos nun gusto na niya ulit bumalik ng ABS eh di na pwede kasi may kontrata.. Kaya sa mga Kapuso na nag-claim na kapuso xa edi sna di na nya kinonsider na bumalik ng ABS.. ang totoo nyan is kapamilya by heart.. ang kapuso xa by contract..

what do we expect… when Manny (Money) talks, GMA is listening. Mukang pera sila, yun nmng mga poors e pagtyatyagaang hintayin yung laban ni Pacquiao-hatton kasi wala silang pambayad sa Pay-per-View. One more thing, hindi nyo ba pansin…nung lumipat si Manny ng GMA, mas dumami ang nanunuod sa sinehan sa mga pay-per-view. Bakit hindi…kahit ako hindi ako magtyatyagang manuod sa sangkaterbang commercial na kada salita yata e may commercial.

Bat pinagiinitan ang commercial..kahit saan mo palabas yan!!! kapanahunan ni Ali abot langit na ang commercial,porke pinalabas lang sa GMA7 asar na kayo,may profit rate pa kayong nalalaman…Ang intindihin nyo yong profit na dinugas ng ABS/Meralco sa taong bayan.Sabagay ok lang sa inyo na niloloko kayo..

excuse me mga kapusucks! kaya nga di ibinigay ng solar sa abs cbn ang rights to air this bout kasi member ng kbp ang dos. at dahil dyan gindi sila pwedeng mag commercial ng marami. mayroong certain limit lang. so hindi sila masyadong kikita. samantalang kung gme nga naman one to sawa ang commercial. look at what happened kanina. super duper dami talaga. kaya inabot ng 3pm ang laban ni manny samantalang tapos na ito 12pm pa lang.

hindi kasi naisip ng gme na hanggang round 2 lang ang laban. naiallot na nila na hanggang 3pm ang laban kaya kumuhasila ng pagkarami raming commercial. kaya hayan tuloy mas matagal pa ang commercial sa naging laban ni manny.

I agree with #39…siguradong kakastiguhin sila ng KBP kapag nag-load ang abs ng sangkaterbang commercial, yan ang hindi alam ng mga ka-poors. Palibhasa ever loyal sila sa GMA kaya pinagtayagaan na nilang hintayin ang infinite commercials ng GMA.

kahit na anong network tv yan, sa Abs cbn o tv5 ganon din dahil may contrata sila sa advertzers kaya nga delayed telecast para sa benifit ng advertizers na nag pa advertized….hindi na live dahil gusto lang maipakita sa buong Pinas sa mga taong hind maka afford ng sattelite or PPV sa Pinas, however bottom line its still a business that needs to be taken care of.

i received a txt message from a friend, ang sabi nya panget dw ang broadcast ng GMA kc puro commercial breaks at sobrang haba pa kya nk2inip at nak2inis dw tlga. para lng dw pinagkakitaan nla ung lban ni manny.
compared with the broadcast of ABS-CBN then, wlang binatbat ung s GMA. bukod s sobrang dmi ng commercial, mga alas 3 na ngcmula ung laban unlike in ABS as far as i remember e mga 2 lng…

its my first time here.. I read all the comments and i found out mostly people who are here..they are arguing about ratings or who’s the famous tv networks there in the philippines or who’s the famous talents
(singers,actors,actresses,child stars,talents) from the two biggest network there…ABS-CBN and GMA-7.
I want to share.. all i know about that two tv networks there. Well, for all of us here in hongkong (filipino community) we really love ABS-CBN/TFC. Maybe you will ask me why…why….
my answers will goes like this..
The shows of abs-cbn/tfc are very well-directed and catchy to the hearts of our fellowmen… either you are pure blood filipino or half-blood filipino. You can relate to all the shows of them…
Their (abs-cbn) talents are very famous not only there in the philippines but around the world. The abs-cbn talents center…give more value/importance to their talents and nurtured them to be a good talents and responsible citizen of the philippines (singers,actors,actresses,child stars,dancers,stage performers) as well.
95 PERCENT OF THE PRODUCT/COMMERCIAL ENDORSERS are from the talents of THE BEST TV NETWORK..ABS-CBN.
Mostly and known actors,actresses,singers,talents and shows who received international awards or multi-awards are from the only and best station and number 1 station in the philippines… ABS-CBN!
FOR ALL OF US HERE! WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE PROOFS AND EVIDENCES. WE NEVER BELIEVE ON WHAT OTHERS SAY OR WRITE..

here once was a guy named Jack who had a girlfriend called Ashley. She was the most popular girl in school. The three most popular guys were Tom, Marcus and Jack. Ashley thought Jack was okay, but she really liked Marcus, who liked her, just like every heterosexual guy at the school. Marcus and Jack were archenemies. Marcus repeatedly stole Ashley away from Jack.
One warm Friday, Marcus asked Ashley out to the movies. Jack was eavesdropping and knew when and where they were going.
Later that night, Jack snuck into the seat behind Marcus and Ashley. Jack watched them put arms around each others’ shoulder, then hug… then kiss… then PASH!
“Do you want to come to my place and skip this boring movie?” said Ashley.
“Hell yeah!” said Marcus.
Jack followed the couple home. He watched Marcus and Ashley have sex. Then, Jack ran away home. He didn’t want to see any more.
On Monday, Jack didn’t come to school. At lunch, all the popular kids at school were having their usual coversation.
“Where’s Jack?” asked Tom.
“I dunno, probably crying at home because he didn’t get to go out with Ashley last night!” said Marcus. Everybody laughed. Marcus had a way of making people laugh. Only the three of them were there. It felt really weird. Jack had never been away from school in his entire life according to Tom.
“Well I never did really break up with him except by text on Saturday!” Ashley added. Both the guys laughed again. It seemed really weird to have such a popular group with only three people in it that day. But that’s because it was no ordinary day.
The next day, Jack didn’t show up to school either.
Or the next day…
Or on Thursday…
Or that Friday for that matter.
On Saturday, Tom kept trying to ring Jack to see if he could come over, but his phone was switched off. He walked up to his house and knocked on the door, but there was no answer. Then he remembered that Jack’s parents were commercial airline pilots and they had to work every day so they wouldn’t be there. He knocked again, but there was no answer. So Tom figured that Jack must be out, however there was no answer for the rest of the day.
He did the same on Sunday, but he wasn’t there all day and he knew that Jack was rarely allowed out at night. Especially when there was school the next day. So Tom sadly rode his bike home at 6 which was his last attempt.
The next day at assembly, the principal had told them that this week the year 12s had to stay back for a special assembly. It was their last assembly and they had Block Exams to do. Why did they have to stay back? The whole year was shocked when they saw Jack’s mum walk in.
“Kids,” she sighed. “I have made a special announcement because one of our school members has died 1 week before graduation. Yes, I know. You probably all know Jack Halagey. Yesterday when I came back from a stressful flight to Bangkok and back, I searched for Jack, called the police and found his dead body in his closet. They carbon dated it to be about a week old. There was a note next to it, and I suggest that if you do not like these kind of themes that you leave now.”
Some people in the assembly left, but only for religious reasons or the fact that they wanted more study time which they should have been doing for the past 2 months.
“Okay,” said Jack’s mum. “The note said…
My dearest Ashley,
I watched you at the movie theatre and at Marcus’s house and I will continue to watch you. I never thought you would do something like this to me.I really loved you, Ashley. I died for you just like Jesus died for the Christians.
Always with you,
Jack.”
Then came the usual tears after that story. The principal walked up to the microphone.
“Thank you Margret Halagey for sharing that sad story with the year 12s. That concludes this week’s assembly, year 12 is now dismissed.”

Still don’t believe me? Well here’s what happened to my friend’s girlfriend. I was at her house one day and we were posting up stupid answers to a blog. Then when she saw this message she blatantly ignored it. The next day during assembly, she was making a speech and she collapsed in front of the whole school. Yes–I know Jack. He was a prefect at my school. I was in Year 8 when I knew him.
Later on when police investigated, they found poisoning in her sandwich that she ate that day.
After school that day, my other friend was checking through his e-mail and found this same message. He deleted it thinking it was a stupid forward. He was on a flight to Indonesia the next day. When he got to Jakarta International Airport, they found a form of poisoning inside his bag. When Australian justice found out about this, it was also the same one-of-a-kind poison that was found in that girl’s sandwich. Since he was in Indonesia and she also came from Indonesia, he was put to death.
Two weeks later, Brisbane International and Sydney International airport security went through the records and found that the poison was in fact snuck into the luggage that went on the flight to Jakarta.
Two examples of how people ended up dead by not spreading this message.
