ABS-CBN is airing the special episode of “Deal or No Deal- Around the World” shot entirely in the Philippines on “Sunday’s Best” (June 22 ), at 10 pm, signaling the return of the game show’s new season in the Kapamilya network soon.
Kris Aquino joined Howie Mandel in playing the numbers game with two American contestants who flew to Manila in April with their families for the chance to win US$1 million.
The 2-hour episode, which was taped in ABS-CBN studios last April 24, will show Howie’s arrival in Manila and his adventures around the city like taking a pedicab, visiting Quiapo, and posing as a promo boy at a supermarket.
The airing of “Deal or No Deal – Around the World” Philippines on NBC in the USA last May 5 was a shining moment for the country as millions of Americans tuned in to see how their hit game show is played the Kapamilya way.
It marks the kick-off for ABS-CBN’s “Panalo Bawat Pilipino” campaign, highlighting how its hit game shows have entertained viewers and improved people’s lives through the years.The Philippines is one of three countries chosen to be part of the show’s world tour.

i love watching kapuso shows in the morning like doraemon and pokemon because these cartoons are the most-watched cartoon series and it’s funny and educational.

i also watch dramarama sa hapon: daisy siete, maging akin ka lamang and kaputol ng isang awit because even though they are remakes, they maintained the original story and the story is quite not short, so televiewers can enjoy watching. the genre’s are different. they have funny-drama, light-drama, heavy-drama and singing-drama, also coffee prince and camera cafe which entertains televiewers. ( HAHAHAHAHAHA…. THE CASTS NEED TO HAVE TRAINING YET…POOR ACTING
i also watch gma telebabad: 24 oras they have very reliable and straight-to-the-point news and they have good choice of newscasters. i can’t watch joaquin bordado because “kasabay nito” is rosalinda, which will be a remake of gma. ut at 8:45 i am not changing tv stations because i am very exciting with the love story of dyesebel. b.a.d.k. also i love it. (POOR TASTE…SINONG CRITICS ANG NAGCOMMENT ABOUT BADK AND DYESEBEL…
Kapuso is still the best kasi hindi plastik ang mga artista nila.. nakita ko n adati si Anne Curtis sa glorietta at libis.. pero ni minsan di nya pinansin ang mga fans na lumapit sa kanya.. take note laos pa sya noon at kasama nya pa si Vanna Garcia.. sobrang arte at mataray.. samantalang ang mga kapuso stars nakita ko sila at palagi silang ngumingiti sa tao.. nakita ko ang mga kapuso stars sa isang mall at panay ang ngiti nila.. di ko nga namukaan si Chyna Ortaleza at Ehra Madrigal na pala ang nabanga ko.. ang sexy heh

just look at your home-grown singers at artists, hirap magbenta ng album, magpasikat ng mga kanta at magpuno ng mga concert venue or magpapatok ng pelikula sa takilya on their own! kaya lagi maramihan sila mag-perform or sa casting at may tulong ng iba like Regal Films, para kahit papaano, may manonood ng mga mini-concert o pelikula ninyo ninyo.

Isa sa nagsimula bilang commercial model na naging artista ay si Carmina Villarroel, starting with Jollibee playing Richard Gomez’s younger sister. Nang pumasok si Carmina sa pag-aartista, isa sa una niyang trabaho ay para sa ABS-CBN sitcom na Palibhasa Lalake, where she played Richard’s sister again.
Sa ABS-CBN na nga nagdalaga at nakapag-asawa (with Rustom Padilla) si Carmina before she moved to GMA-7 almost seven years ago to do two shows: Narito Ang Puso Ko at ang still ongoing morning talk show nila ng magkapatid na Janice at Gelli de Belen na SiS.
Early this week, may tumimbre sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na nakita si Carmina and her manager Dolor Guevarra sa ABS-CBN papuntang third floor. It was said na sa third floor ng ABS-CBN compound ginagawa ang story conference ng mga shows nila.
We immediately contacted Dolor and Ruth Mariñas, production manager of SiS. As far as Ruth is concerned, Carmina will stay with SiS. Wala namang sagot sa amin si Dolor.
Lunch of Saturday today, June 21, a second text message came from our source; balik-ABS-CBN na nga raw si Carmina who will do a teleserye for the Kapamilya station.

The origin of GMA can be traced to DZBB of Loreto F. de Hemedes, Inc.[4] owned by Robert “Uncle Bob” Stewart, an American war correspondent (The company’s name was christened after Stewart’s wife). The station first went on-air on June 14, 1950 at the fourth floor of the Calvo Building in Escolta, Manila. It went on to cover events such as President Ramon Magsaysay’s sudden death, the eruption of Mt. Hibok-Hibok on March 17, 1957 and the various elections in the country. DZBB became the first radio station in the country to use the telephone patch for live interviews.[5] The station also broadcast the forerunner of today’s political satire programs with Kwentong Kutsero and glued audiences to the amateur radio contest, Tawag ng Tanghalan.[5] A decade after the radio station’s launch, the Stewarts ventured into television. Kauuwi ko lang from abroad my TFC kami doon minsan nakakasawa kasi yun nalang napapanood ko, sabi nila mag shift daw kc OK daw ang kapuso kaya ng dumating ako ng Maynila ng try ako nanood. sa una medyo ok, pero naku mga teh habang tumatagal parang nakakaumay, walang ka kwentang kwenta mga palabas.
Oo nga totoo ka billyjoe yung SOP nila ang corny corny, tapos nanay ko po mataas pa ang rating compare sa ASAP samantala high tech na ang kabila. Paano nangyari yong At halos lahat nag nasa commercials from kapamilya artists. Akala ko nga habang nanonood ako ng siete ay nasa kapamilya ako dahil nakikita ko parin ang mga artista from 2, asan ang mga taga 7.

Nilinaw rin ni Manay Lolit ang balitang lilipat sa ABS-CBN si Lorna.
“Ang kontrata niya sa GMA, per program, sa StarTalk lang. Hindi siya exclusive ng network. Kaya nga kapag may offer ang ABC-CBN, tumatanggap siya.”
May offer daw talaga ang ABS-CBN kay Lorna for some shows.
“Oo, may offer,” diretsahang sagot ni Manay Lolit. “Tatanggapin namin, bakit hindi? Bakit si Christopher [de Leon] at si Tonton [Gutierrez] ganun-ganun [palipat-lipat sa dalawang networks]? Kaya okey sa akin.”

mas maganda talaga ang GMA now, kc noon una parang medyo may pagkabaduy… ang pinapanuod ko lang noon ay ang animes nila at ito ang dahilan kun bakit nagwatch ako ng GMA… simula ng nagkafantasy, gumanda ang shows nila. ngayun pinapanuod ko na drama, variety, comedy, at reality nila… may hook factor kc. hehehe.
Survivor sana maganda (excited!). Ang Pinoy Idol, parang naging exciting ata… pero may personal na dislikes pa rin ako sa show na ito, medyo frustrating ang host, ang stage atbp. Pero i prefer the idol format keysa sa kabilang talent search.
Bubble Gang is still funny, kahit korny ginagawa nilang funny. ewan, nasanay na sa mga nagpapatawa. Animes please until the end… sana laging update episodes esp ang ONE PIECE atbp anime. gusto ko filipino version kaysa sa magbasa nalang ng subtitles through online streaming.
Sa madaling salita, I am happy with GMA right now… sana galingan pa para mas happy pa buhay ko at ng bawat Pilipino.

It only shows that GMA rules the Philippine network now. As you could notice the poll says 65% agree that GMA is the BEST and the EBS is the REST. Peace! It only shows that most people are watching the Kapuso shows nationwide or wherever in the world where there is GMA Pinoy TV. I really like GMA because of it’s CREDIBILITY. I think that’s very important and that’s also my basis that’s why I can say that GMA is the BEST. GMA-7 RULES!!!!
Now and Forever ako GMA 7, nasa Kinatarcan Island of Cebu pa lang ako, GMA 7 na talga ako, kahit iyong tv na pinanonoud ko sa aming kapitbahay ang black in white pa lang. Nakikisaw saw pa nga ako sa mga kapitbahay namin eh, dahil sa wala pa kaming tv noon. At kapag iba iyong station na pinapanood nila, itinulog ko na lang iyong oras ko kaysa manood ng ibang station kasi inaabangan ko tlga bawat show nila. Naiiyak pa ako kapag meron akong episode na di napapanood pero dahil sa marami akong mga friends din na nakapanood sa oras na hindi ako nakapanood, nakikibalita na lang din ako sa mga friends ko. Kaya di nila kayang lampasan ng kahit sino o ano iyong pagiging GMA 7 follower ko.
taong 1999 nagpunta kami ng lola ko sa cebu city, nakitira kami sa isang cousin doon, at saka iba iyong pinapanood nila, kaya sa kapitbahay nila ako nanood kasi GMA 7 iyong station na pinapanood nila. pero nang bumalik ako sa bahay ng cousin ko, nagkataon na commercial, at walang tao sa sala, kinuha ko ung remote at nilipat ang channel sa 7, kaya simula noon, 50-50 sila ng pinapanood, pag commercial sa 7, nililipat nila sa 2, ako naman habang commercial, naghuhugas ako ng plato. Pero pag 7 na balik agad. Nakakatuwa tlga history ng pagiging GMA ko..i love it. kasi napapaligaya at nabibigyan nila (GMA 7) nang kasayahan ang bawat mamamayan na nanonood ng shows nila. GO GMA..

NODOUBT, GMA 7 KAPUSO reigns now. It used to be ABS. And GMA accepted it without any complaints. But now that GMA is NO.1, ABS complains. Sana maging sport sila sa pag-accept ng katotohanan. GMA deserves to be in the no.1 position because of its good shows and concepts. Taong bayan ang nag-dedecide. Napag-daanan na naman ng ABS ang maging no.1 noon.
And one thing I hate about ABS, they love to pirate GMA talents na sumisikat pa lang. Ang dami niyan. It has been proven na they will offer them with much bigger talent fees para lumipat. ABS should build their own at sangkatutak na ang artista nila, nakukuha pang mamirata. Be fair to GMA na taon din ang hinitay para marating ang kinalalagyan nila ngayon.

i love watching kapuso shows in the morning like doraemon and pokemon because these cartoons are the most-watched cartoon series and it’s funny and educational.
i also loved watching kontrapelo: sa pula o sa puti because i enjoyed when two opposite teams are arguing with each other. the host are joker’s and they are very funny.
i also watch dramarama sa hapon: daisy siete, maging akin ka lamang and kaputol ng isang awit because even though they are remakes, they maintained the original story and the story is quite not short, so televiewers can enjoy watching. the genre’s are different. they have funny-drama, light-drama, heavy-drama and singing-drama, also coffee prince and camera cafe which entertains televiewers.
i also watch gma telebabad: 24 oras they have very reliable and straight-to-the-point news and they have good choice of newscasters. i can’t watch joaquin bordado because “kasabay nito” is rosalinda, which will be a remake of gma. ut at 8:45 i am not changing tv stations because i am very exciting with the love story of dyesebel. b.a.d.k. also i love it.

at para lang masabing mabilis sila magbigay ng feed, what abs-cbn did is that they feed CNN with an old video coverage sa isang sea tragedy na nangyari over a decade ago! and they claimed it na yon na ang recent coverage!

Sa Lunes, June 23, na raw ang balik ni Lorna ng Manila.
Nilinaw rin ni Manay Lolit ang balitang lilipat sa ABS-CBN si Lorna.
“Ang kontrata niya sa GMA, per program, sa StarTalk lang. Hindi siya exclusive ng network. Kaya nga kapag may offer ang ABC-CBN, tumatanggap siya.”
May offer daw talaga ang ABS-CBN kay Lorna for some shows.
“Oo, may offer,” diretsahang sagot ni Manay Lolit. “Tatanggapin namin, bakit hindi? Bakit si Christopher [de Leon] at si Tonton [Gutierrez] ganun-ganun [palipat-lipat sa dalawang networks]? Kaya okey sa akin.”
Anong show ang gagawin ni Lorna asa ABS-CBN?
“Ah, isang teleserye at isang talk show.”
Kailan siya pipirma?

German Moreno offended by Wyngard Tracy’s “Walang Tulugan” comment

German Moreno, better known as Kuya Germs, reportedly did not like Pinoy Idol judge Wyngard Tracy’s comment on PI contestant JJ Jr., supposedly calling JJ ’s performance, “Pang-‘Walang Tulugan.’”
“Walang Tulugan” apparently means Kuya Germs’s pre-dawn variety show.
Startalk interviewed Kuya Germs and asked for his reaction on the said comment. He said, “Sinasabi na nga ba’t ganoon ang ginawa ni Wyngard na idinadawit ang show ko na sabihing ganoon na pang-‘Walang Tulugan’ ka lamang. So, ang dating doon…siyempre doon sa mga nakakaintindi, e, parang minamaliit niya ang ‘Walang Tulugan.’ Hindi dapat. It’s very unethical talaga.”
NO DENIAL. Wyngard didn’t deny these facts about him using the term ‘Walang Tulugan’ as a way of gauging the Pinoy Idol contestant’s performance.
“Sinabi ko talaga ‘yon,” Wyngard admitted. “Wala akong intensyon na maliitin si German Moreno o ang ‘Walang Tulugan!’ na show. Sana po huwag ninyo bigyan ng kulay yung naging komento ko kay JJ Jr. na doon siya mag-umpisa, kasi alam po nating lahat na marami ang na-discover, marami ang nag-umpisa, marami ang dinevelop, at marami ang sumikat dahil kay German Moreno.”
With his statement regarding his respect for German Moreno, is Wyngard willing to apologize to Kuya Germs and fix the issue?
“Germs, alam mo ‘yon. Hindi ganoon ang intensyon ko, wala akong ganoong intensyon. Kaya hindi ako guilty at hindi ako mag-a-apologize, kasi talagang hindi ko ‘yon…uh, hindi ‘yon ang ibig kong sabihin nung sinabi ko ‘yon. At sana maintindihan mo ‘yon.”
What is Kuya Germs’ say on this?
“Well, nasa kanya na ‘yon. Ako, e, narito lang naman. We are working in the same company. You know, marami ka nang na-experience-marami ka nang naranasan na sama ng loob, e. Pinapasa-Diyos ko na lang at pinagdarasal ko na lamang.”

As far as I can remember, since I got married in 1955, my wife and I have moved from one place to another seven or eight times already. And every time we moved to a new place, we had to pay Meralco a deposit—the equivalent of two months water consumption, if I remember correctly.
Thus, Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez opened a can of worms when he asked where the deposits of millions of Meralco consumers are going.
Come to think of it, where indeed are those deposits from millions of Meralco consumers? To a degree, those deposits partake of trust funds from consumers which must be refunded to them when they change address. I’ve never gotten any refund whatsoever. Other Meralco consumers must likewise be wondering what happened to their deposits, which must be running up to the billions by now.
If those billions of pesos come from consumers, Meralco cannot by any law have deposited them into their accounts since that would constitute estafa. And since those deposits are now in the billions, is Meralco using them for its own benefit? If so, that’s a heinous crime.
Another related question that comes up with the misuse of Meralco customers’ money is that the Supreme Court has mandated a refund after it caught the Lopezes charging consumers for the payment of Meralco’s income taxes. That was some years ago. Until now, Meralco has not fully complied with the High Court’s order.
And again I ask: Why hasn’t Meralco paid any interest on those refunds since they had used billions worth of consumers’ money for their benefit?
Santa Banana, all these should not be lost on the Senate. Ask these questions, lest Meralco get away with murder.

Nagmamayabang naman ang mga kapus-o sa kanilang mga awards na tanging sila ang nanalo dahil sila lang din ang nagsubmit ng mga entries.bwahaha!!!
Ito ang tunay na tagumpay! Sa mga scholars ng bayan sa UP, UST, etc. pinarangalan ang ABS-CBN as Best TV Station. Ni isang Best TV Station award ay hindi nasungkit ng kapuso station. Dahil alam ng mga Ph.D holders, at mga sholars ng ating bansa na ang tanging nakaangat na istasyon ay ang ABS-CBN.
Sa mga tabi-tabing paaralan nalang kukuha ang GMA ng Best TV Station award.

Nag-OA na naman ang namamahala ng mga primetime teleserye ng Dos. It seems deadset sila na padapain sa ratings ang GMA-7 na kapansin-pansin na nagsimula lang ang usapin sa ‘dayaan’ kuno sa ratings nu’ng hindi man lang umangat bagkus ay nangulelat pa sa ratings ang Maging Sino Ka Man.
Biruin mo nga namang si Lino Brocka na lang ang kulang sa cast ng Maging Sino Ka Man pero hindi man lang makapanggulat ang ratings nito gabi-gabi.
Ang tatlong binildap na stars kasi ni Brocka na sina Christopher what-ever-his-name-is, Ipe Salvador and Bembol Roco, kasama sa cast ni Rosanna Roces at ng tatlong ‘bigating’ loveteams nina John Lloyd Cruz-Bea Alonzo, Sam Milby-Anne Curtis at Derek Ramsay-Angelica Panganiban, iniisnab ng televiewers gabi-gabi! How ironic naman, debah?
So, para hindi mapahiya sa Papa Gabby (Lopez) ko ang mga nagbibida-bida sa akala mo eh team na kayang magpatumba sa Kamandag, Zaido at Marimar, hindi kaya ang sumbong nila sa Papa Gabby ko eh, “Sir, dinadaya po tayo sa ratings”?
Para nga maligtas sila sa pagtatanong ng Papa Gabby ko kung bakit despite the big cast and the millions of pesos put into the making of Maging Sino Ka Man, iniisnab pa rin ito ng televiewers?
Nu’ng una ay nagkamali na ang plugging. On-air na ang Maging Sino Ka Man eh isinama pa sa pina-plug na tatlong bagong teleserye.
Inilaglag iyon kaya ang natira ay ang plugging oras-oras, pati na sa Teleradyo ng DZMM ay nanduon ang OA na plugging for Kung Fu Kids, Palos at Bolo, este Lobo pala!
Kung ginawa pa sigurong Bolo ang title ng ASONG PUTI eh baka mataga ang kalaban kung ihahasa nila nang husto ang talim ng bolo, debah naman?
Ang OA na blurb ng Lobo (“Hoy, lobo kayo riyan! Lobo! Lobo!” Tinda kaya ‘yan sa Quiapo na setting ng another Piolo Pascual non-rater na Mangarap Ka — na naging bangungot!), “ang pinakaaabangang teleserye ng taon!” –matuk n’yo ‘yun?

Baka ako lang siguro ang nakaabang dahil sa Papa Piolo ko na watch ko kung tama ‘yung mga nagmamagaling na kayang-kaya ng Papa Piolo ko ang magsolo na at kaya na ring magdala ng kapartner at mapasikat!
That never happened to Papa Piolo’s leading ladies of one film each: Janna Victoria, Joyce Jimenez, Donita Rose na pawang nagsipagretiro na sa paggawa ng pelikula!
‘Yung papasikat pa lang na younger sister ni Juday sa Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka na si Angelica Panganiban eh itinambal na kina Piolo (sa Mangarap Ka) at Jericho Rosales (sa Santa-Santita) pero naudlot pa ang pagsikat kaya ang ending ng poor Angelica ay pasa-pasa from one lover to another kuno.

Nu’ng lisanin ni Angel ang network na nagpasikat sa kanya, sampu ng movie outfit (Regal Films) na nagbigay ng pangalan sa kanya mula sa pagiging ‘biyuda’ lang ng namatay sa aksienteng si Mico Sotto, and third na nilisan niya ay ang boypren niya after Mico na si Oyo Sotto na pinsan ng namatay na anak ni Ali Sotto. Indeed they come in threes, huh!

Ang nakatatawa pa ay ang ibinigay na role kay Angel Locsin. Sexy at sariwa ang Angel. Akalain mong gawing ASO.
Yes, Jun Nardo, tama ka… ASO — dahil walang wolf sa Pilipinas except Andrew Wolff na hindi rin sumikat-sikat. Si Angel na sumikat sa GMA-7 bilang ang pinakaseksing (?) Darna kaya nagkaroon ng tumpok ng kalalakihan na nagpantasya sa kakapiranggot na costume niya eh i-turn-off ba naman ang 90%, kasi nga, ginawang ASO!
Kahit na gaano pa kaseksi ang isang babae, pagpapantasyahan mo pa ba kung alam mong ito eh isang babaeng ASO lang?

natawa naman ako sa comment mo pero tama ka, ilang taon na nagkaka-award ang GMA7 sa mga redundant documentaries nila mainly about and evolving around kahirapan at kung ano pang mga bagay-bgaya na nagpapahirap sa mga Pilipino.
hindi pa ba obvious sa mga award-giving bodies na yan na talamak na ang ganyang problema ng Pilipinas at kailangan pa nilang bigyan ng papuri ang mga rudndant documentary na nagpapakita ng mga di magagandang bagay tungkol sa Pilipinas?
buti sana kung naging daan ang mga redundant documentary na yan para mabago ang sitwasyon a ang kaso hindi e…lumalala at paulit-ulit lang nangyayari ang mga problema…at paulit-ulit din ginagawan ng GMA7 ng mga documentaryo at ginagamit ng GMA7 ang mga parangal na yan para ipagyabang…a very self-serving way of exalting themselves.
for goodness sake GMA7, magbago na kayo.

The country’s largest media conglomerate ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation is the seventh most admired company in the Philippines, according to a survey by The Wall Street Journal Asia.
In the innovation award category, the Lopez-owned conglomerate grabbed the third spot for its TFCnow, a unit of ABS-CBN Interactive that sells video-on-demand in monthly and pay-per-view subscription packages via Internet.
The survey “Asia’s 200″ was conducted by research firm Colmar Brunton on behalf of the renowned business paper and covered 2,477 executives and professionals as respondents.
ABS-CBN joins others in the top ten list, including Ayala Land Inc., Jollibee Foods Corporation, Ayala Corporation, Globe Telecom, San Miguel Corporation, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co., SM Prime Holdings and Banco de Oro Unibank.
ABS-CBN was the only media company that made it in both categories.
The firm expects earnings to continue to grow this year on the back of higher advertising revenues as well as from the expansion of the subscriber bases of its domestic and international cable TV operations.
ABS-CBN business analysis head Vivian Tin said the bulk of the firm’s earnings this year will come from airtime revenues which is seen to be higher after rates have been hiked 15 percent.

Comment lang: Hindi lahat ng nanonood ng GMA ay poor. Sa province, mahina ang signal ng gma7 kaya people from the province who watch gma are those with cable TV’s.
Take note 1:
kaya mayaman ang ABS dahil nangungurakot ang kanilang sister company na MERALCO. Yan ba ang katiwa-tiwalang network? yan ba ang hindi nandadaya? sino ba nagmamay-ari ng abs? LOPEZ sino ang major stockholder ng meralco? LOPEZ. Doesn’t that explains the wealth of their network.
Take note 2:
I’m not a fan of philippine shows because of its poor quality. parehas lang ang gma at abs. pero in terms of integrity of the network, mas ok ang GMA.

Philippines to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) website, the
recent Pacquiao fight garnered an overnight rating of only 46.4 percent
overall and not 63.8 as earlier announced.
However, the 46.4 percent mark of the Pacquiao-Diaz match is still
indefinite since the full data is not yet finalized.

heelllloo.we all know that agb nielsen was favor to gma…we caN see that all the show of gma7 was on the top..i dont agree that,,bcause the show in abs cbn is very educational, and u put a lesson to everybody….niloloko lng tau ng agb….tns is the best….abs cbn was number1 in the whole world…
