Nationwide Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM) Ratings for April 2008

ay bakit ako ang number one? binabasa ko lang kagabi ang result ng nutam for the month of april and my dyesebel was in number 5 after pbb. boss gozom anong nangyari? naihabol ba kagabi ang groceries at 500 kay maya reforma? kahit kelan talaga maasahan si mam galbeinte!

to all viewrs of dyesebel,
humihingi po ako ng paumanhin sa lahat ng mga nanonood ng aking show. alam ko po na hindi ninyo gusto ang set ng aming show plus ayoko po talaga ng ayos ng aking buhok. pero tinitipid po talaga ako ng management. kasi sabi po nila sa akin, kahit daw po mababa ang production value nito ay sigurado daw naman pong panonoorin ito ng mga tao. madali daw po kasing lokohin ang mga kapuso. sanay daw naman po sila sa mga low class na shows.

ABS-CBN has denied that its application for digital TV is “misleading”. The following is a press statement released by the company.
“This refutes allegations made by GMA-7 with regard ABS-CBN’s digital TV application with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) as published in Business Mirror on May 13th, 2008.
There is nothing misleading in ABS-CBN’s digital TV application with the NTC. ABS-CBN’s plan to continue the operations of Channel 23 as an analog service (until its mandatory termination) simultaneously with the network’s digital service, is intended not merely to comply with the draft Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) rules, but also because undertaking and maintaining such broadcasts is a service to the Filipino public.
Reviewing the draft memorandum circular on the DDT Broadcast service released by the NTC in November 2006, it was clearly stated that, “a duly authorized analog TV service provider may provide DTT service in conjunction with its analog TV operation.”
The circular further states that an analog service shall not be disrupted (not terminated) until further orders of the NTC, and that all duly qualified DTT service providers shall surrender its analog frequency upon the termination of analog TV broadcast transmissions in 2015.
Channels 14 to 20 are allocated for the national DTT networks. Within this spectrum, ABS-CBN requested for the Channel 19 frequency.
Thus, the petition filed by ABS-CBN to migrate and convert its Channel 23 service from analog to digital merely conforms with the aforesaid draft rules issued by the NTC, and is not ‘a move to operate a new service,’ as GMA-7 claims.”

But one thing ang aking ireremark!! About Dyesebel’s being no.1!!
1.) How come it came to the top spot since it was shown in the end of April 28 .! Hmmm.. I think there was a misinterpreted study of these ratings!! But just according to a certain law of business! Surveys are usually done on a whole new month, especially on the first days of a month then they(surveyors) review it at the end of the month to check whether their are certain anomalies in such surveying! But this chance that Dyesebel being at the top peak no.1 is impossible. But there might be theories that the Nutam surveyors included some days of may and in which the survey of Dyesebel started last April 28. So this just means another misinterpretation of the nutam ratings!
2.) If Dyesebel is at it’s topmost peak, would the other shows of GMA also be in the nutam’s list? This kind of strategic position used by GMA7, in which theu used Dyesebel as a counterpart of ASB-CBN’s Lobo, which concluded to be a very powerful impact to viewers. Well back to the point. Would it be other shows of GMA also be heightened to popularity? But indeed not! So this just means if, GMA7 continues to air Dyesebel and make some twisting stories to it, it would attract more and more people and then other GMA7 shows will also make to the nationwide list! But to this situation, wherein Dyesebel is no.1 but other programs did not top. Well, I think another misnomer.
3.)If you remembered the tail controversy, in which the teaser had shown wherein the legs of Marian was shown was a sure disadvantage over Dyesebel. But to this survey also, some were wrong. The controversy did not help dyesebel to plunge into small ratings. Well if that controversy was a sure disadvantage since many newspapers said it was a flop for Dyesebel, would Dyesebel be at it’s baseline?

‘CLASS’ & ‘MASA’ – A showbiz authority notes that while GMA is way, way ahead of ABS-CBN in the primetime race, both networks are “fully loaded,” meaning overflowing with commercials. One would expect GMA to have much more sponsors than ABS-CBN, yet they’re about even in advertisements.
Why is this so?
The showbiz authority in reference says it’s because advertisers are now considering not only the number of viewers, but quality of shows as well. GMA primetime programs may have the number, large viewership, but ABS-CBN has the quality, the high production values and the technical craftsmanship.
Think of ABS-CBN’s ‘Lobo’ and ‘Maligno’ and ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya,’ the showbiz authority continues. Think of GMA’s ‘Joaquin Bordado’ and ‘Dyesebel’ and ‘Babangon Ako at Dudurugin Kita.’ Compare and see the difference.
Seems that ABS-CBN has the limited A & B market, while GMA has captured the much bigger C, D, & E viewers. And it tells in the ratings. Advertisers target both audiences. Which explains why both channels are “fully loaded.”

Maaaring bawiin ang prangkisa ng Manila Electric Company o Meralco kung mapatutunayan ang panggugulang nito sa publiko.
Ang babala ay ginawa ni Senador Miriam Defensor Santiago, Co-Chairman ng Joint Congressional Power Commission na siyang nag-iimbestiga sa mataas na singil sa kuryente.
Ayon kay Santiago, malinaw na sangkot sa manipulasyon ng presyo ng kuryente ang Meralco nang palabasin nito na mas mura ang binibili nilang kuryente sa Mga Independent Power Producers (IPP) na pag-aari ng mga Lopezes kaysa sa National Power Corporation (Napocor) at sa Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).
Malabo rin daw na hindi nalalaman ng Meralco management ang pagpapasa ng kumpanya sa mga consumers ng kanilang pagkalugi.
Hihingin rin Santiago ang tulong ng mga technical expert mula sa University of the Philippines para busisiin ang libro ng Meralco, Napocor at Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).
Sinabi ni Santiago na malaki ang maitutulong ng eksperto upang matukoy ang kapalpakan ng tatlong ahensya at malaman kung sino ang nagsasabi ng totoo sa mataas na singil sa kuryente.
Sa loob ng 2 lingo, maglalabas ng kautusan ang Powercom na nag-aatas sa 3 ahensya na magsumite ng mga dokumento kaugnay ng bentahan ng elektrisidad.
Dito aniya malalaman kung sino ang dapat sisihin sa mataas na singil sa kuryente.

GMA Network Q1 profit up 6%
ABS-CBN Q1 recurring profit up 23%
Broadcasting firm GMA Network Inc. reported on Thursday a 6.0-percent jump in first-quarter net income to P453.6 million on higher revenue.
In its financial report, the company said airtime revenue grew 1.0 percent to P2.4 billion while revenue from international and other operations climbed 6.0 percent.
The network blamed the absence of political advertisements for the meager growth in airtime revenue.
Gross revenues, which consist of gross airtime, production and other revenues, reached P2.15 billion during the quarter as against P2.13 billion in the same period in 2007.
ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp., rival of GMA Network, is set to announce its first-quarter results later Thursday.

ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp., the country’s biggest media conglomerate, posted a 23-percent rise in first-quarter core net income to P242 million from P197 million a year ago on higher revenues.
But including extraordinary gains made in the first three months last year, the company’s income would have dropped 14 percent.
ABS-CBN said it booked non-recurring profits of P84 million from license fees paid by subscribers who migrated to the DirecTV platform and continued to remain subscribed for a period of time last year. DirecTV is a direct-to-home satellite system provider in the US. It had the exclusive right to sell packages of ABS-CBN’s The Filipino Channel.
Gross revenues, meanwhile, rose 3 percent to P4.3 billion from P4.14 billion, driven by higher airtime revenues and direct sales. Excluding the license fees, revenues for the first three months of 2008 grew 5 percent year on year.
Airtime revenues jumped 4 percent to P2.8 billion while direct sales climbed 7 percent to P1.4 billion.
As of end-March, the total subscriber base of international unit ABS-CBN Global was up 15 percent year on year. ABS-CBN Global’s sale of services rose to P837 million and its sale of goods soared to P94 million.
ABS-CBN said it recorded only a 7-percent increase in total expenses to P3.9 billion because it implemented cost-reduction measures.

Hindi na talaga credible ang ratings, GMA nalang kaya ang nagbabayad sa serbisyo ng AGB. Atsaka ang pagkaka alam ko 1500 lang meron ang panel homes sa buong Pilipinas. Ilan ba ang populasyon natin?
Abs talaga ang #1 nakikita naman natin pagdating sa mga sikat na artista, singers at product endorsers.
Nananaginip lang tlaga ang GMA #1 daw sila.

Observing that GMA despite its high ratings have the same ad load as ABS-CBN which captures the A&B market more.
‘CLASS’ & ‘MASA’ – A showbiz authority notes that while GMA is way, way ahead of ABS-CBN in the primetime race, both networks are “fully loaded,” meaning overflowing with commercials. One would expect GMA to have much more sponsors than ABS-CBN, yet they’re about even in advertisements.
Why is this so?
The showbiz authority in reference says it’s because advertisers are now considering not only the number of viewers, but quality of shows as well. GMA primetime programs may have the number, large viewership, but ABS-CBN has the quality, the high production values and the technical craftsmanship.
Think of ABS-CBN’s ‘Lobo’ and ‘Maligno’ and ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya,’ the showbiz authority continues. Think of GMA’s ‘Joaquin Bordado’ and ‘Dyesebel’ and ‘Babangon Ako at Dudurugin Kita.’ Compare and see the difference.
Seems that ABS-CBN has the limited A & B market, while GMA has captured the much bigger C, D, & E viewers. And it tells in the ratings. Advertisers target both audiences. Which explains why both channels are “fully loaded.”

sabi ng friend ko, marami na daw lumilipat ng subscription from tfc to orbit, kasi mas class daw ang orbit bundle (included ang pinoy tv) at may choices at access ka sa ibang international channel. sa tfc daw, apat nga ang mga channels + 2 radio stations, puro lumang palabas ang nirere-play, ginagatasan lang daw ang mga subscribers.

ABS-CBN only took the two highest spots as TV Patrol World slides at the fifth rank. But still, Piolo and Angel’s Lobo leads primetime at 35.7% and Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus follows behind at 34.9%. Due to the near-end, GMA’s Telefanstasya, Kamandag grabs the third spot from the fifth slot the other day. It was another glorious night for Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita as it places itself on the fourth spot, and rated 31.3% from 25.8%.

dapat “maraming foreign channels sa Orbit”…
misleading kasi kung sasabihin mong “maraming foreign channels sa Pinoy TV” e nakikisabit lang pala sila sa cable channel provider na Orbit.
akala ko pa naman ang Pinoy TV na pinagmamalaki ninyo ay subscription package of Filipino channels tulad ng TFC.

ABS CBN viewers say that GMA viewers are cheap? Well, I think both GMA and ABS viewers are cheap but ABS viewers are not only cheap but also a social climber. I never heard of any GMA fanatics saying that kapamilyas are cheap but then ABS fanatics keep on rubbing that topic. I think being a fanatic of these stations and wasting time posting message and debating is being cheap but thinking that just because you are watching ABS you are “sosyal”, that for me is a big illusion. So for those kapamilya with such idea, think first, where do you stand in the society in real life?

1. Charice Pempengco kilala na sa buong mundo na tanging Youtube singing sensation. Nag guest siya sa Ellen Degeneres show(most memorable ang visit niya), Paul O’grady(na tanging siya lamang ang pinagbigyan ng standing ovation for the last 4 years), At mapapanood natin siya sa Oprah(kung saan naging emotional si Oprah Winfrey sa pagkanta niya)
2.Nikki Gil. Kudos mga kapamilya si SAPPHIRE ng Jewel Sisters sa pangarap na bituin nakagawa ng pangalan sa ating bansa. Siya ang napili para kumanta sa philippine version ng IT’S A SMALL WORLD sa Disney Land Hongkong. Natatandaan rin na kumanta siya sa philippine version ng kanta sa High School Musical! At muli na naman baka may panibagong project na siya sa Disney Land Hongkong.
3.)Sarah Geronimo. Kudos pa rin mga kapamilya. Ang ating EMERALD ng Jewel Sister sa pangarap na bituin mag duduet kasama si Howie D. ng backstreet boys. Matapos gumawa ng concert sa U.S. ay magstastay muna siya at ang iba niyang mga kasamahan ay uuwi na dito! Doon ay magduduet siya kasama si Howie D. para gumawa ng album!

6.) Pangako sa Iyo nag-ere sa 11 na bansa. Ang jericho-kristine tandem at pati na rin ang claudia-amor fighting ang nag-attract sa manonood na panoorin ang Pangako sa Iyo. Mataas din ang ratings nito at nagno.1 ito sa 6 na bansa. KUDOS kapamilya again!!
7.) Bandila nag top.2 sa Emmy Awards. Ito ang kauna-unahang TV program na makahakot ng parangal sa Emmy Awards at Bandila nga ang nakakuha pero at least close to 1 ang place nito! “Bandila: The Subic Rape Case Promulgation”.. ang naging hatol ng judge na outstanding performance ang report!

Precisely my point , after pep nutam posting wherein dyesebel climbed to no. 1 , i was certain that these forum will follow , sure enough but last month opps they conveniently forgot , i wonder why ? of course it’s not at their best interest ” they are in the wait and see or tryin to figure out so to be sure that dyesebel this time will make it on top no matter what ( thanks to their partner AG what ??? )….. the outcome is …. obvious manipulation right before your eyes … even the most unintelligent people can easily figure this out …. very hopeless case .

PERO dipende din sa AGBGMA7 Neilsen! pero ang pinagtataka ng mga tao bakit ang laki ng itinaas ng Revenues ng ABS kesa sa GME7 this first quarter diba sabi nyo maraming ads ang gme7 yon pala si sisabel lang ang maraming ads..

To All Friends,
This is my third time to open this blog since it was posted last May 16 and I’m just only curious what is happening and what is the latest situation in our local television programming.
Truth to tell, I was amazed and really feel sad to some other people with their comment regarding with their favorite artist of this two disputing channel.
Nakakalungkot isipin, kung gaano sila mang lait ng kapuwa nila.
Kawawa naman yung mga Artista natin na wala naman kasalanan sa kanila, pero kung laitin nitong mga taung ito ay sobra sobra, kung i aanalized mo yung mga comments nila akala mo personal na may away namagitan na sa kanila. Na ang tanging ginawa lang ng mga artistang ito ay gampanan kung anu yung ipinagagawa at binayaran sa kanila.
Hindi ko tuloy mawala ang maghinala na dahil kaya sa ingit, or nasasapawan yung mga paborito nila kaya ganun na lang ang galit nila.
Wala naman akong kinakampihan, both of this fans are doing this un-true criticism and baseless comments.
All of us here has a favorite, kung ayaw nyo sa kanila huwag na lang kayung mag comment or throw them a bad criticism.
We have One Race and One Country it’s about time na to Unite, show and prove to the world that we can be one Nation.
Hindi mabubuo ang Pamilya kung walang nag mamahalang mga Puso.

Filipino Game Show ‘Wows’ Hawaii Fans

AIEA (KHNL) — It’s part game show, part entertainment. It’s the Filipino version of NBC’s hit game show “Deal or No Deal.” “Wowowee” is the most popular game in the Philippines, and it’s taken its act on the road making a stop here in Hawaii Saturday evening.
It was supposed to start at 7 pm, but didn’t get going until almost 9 pm. Rain and some technical difficulties slowed things down, but nothing could dampen the fans’ spirits.
Aloha Stadium is the only place to be if you’re a fan of “Wowowee.”
“Proud to be Pinoy!” said Marie Gazman, a fan who flew over from Lahaina, Maui.
“This time mostly Filipino. I think all Filipinos in Hawaii are here,” said Myrna Pasicaran, a fan from Waipahu.
Dea Altura came all the way from Batesville, Mississippi, just to see the show.
“I’ve heard of (show host) Willie (Revillame) way back in the Philippines,” she said. “And I just wanted to see him and I wasn’t able to see him in the Philippines, so here’s my chance.”
Inside, fans couldn’t wait for the show to begin.
“The girls, the dancers,” said 18-year-old fan Mjay Mose, from Halawa Heights. “You got to know about the dancers and Willie.”
Rain and technical problems delayed the show by almost two hours, but once it started, fans forgot about how long they waited.
“Feel good being Filipino,” said Mose. “This is the best!”
“You feel proud?” asked KHNL.
“Very proud!” said Mose. “Filipino! Flipside!”
And host Willie Revillame appreciates his fans in Hawaii.
“I love you so much,” he said. “We’re here to give you happiness, fun and most especially from the heart, we love you all.”
The concert was still going strong close to 11 pm Saturday evening. Approximately 9,000 tickets were pre-sold. But promoters estimate at least 20,000 fans came to see the show.

ABS-CBN and GMA-7 gained 13 Nominations in 2007 Asian TV Awards
The two giant networks on Philippine television bags 13 nominations in the Asian TV Awards which will be held on November 29 at the Suntec Convention Hall in Singapore.
GMA-7 has nine (9) nominations while ABS-CBN has four (4).
ABS-CBN’s Bandila and TV Patrol World were nominated for Best News Program for the “Subic Rape Case Promulgation” and “Taguig Hostage Drama,” respectively competing with GMA-7’s 24 Oras’ coverage of “Super Typhoon Milenyo”.
Other GMA-7 nominations were: Philippine Agenda’s “Education” (an election-primer special) and Emergency’s “Mga Batang Magsusunog” for Best Social Awareness Program; Kapuso Mo, Jessica Sojo was nominated for Best Infotainment Program, and Reporter’s Notebook for Best Current Affairs Program. Reporter’s Notebook anchor hosts Maki Pulido and Jiggy Manicad are also nominated for Best Current Affairs Presenter.
For the Best Comedy Performance by an Actor category, Ogie Alcasid and Michael V of Bubble Gang were included as nominees while Gina Pareño was nominated for Best Drama Performance by an Actress in the “Rehas” episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.
Lastly, Edu Manzano’s game show Pilipinas Game KNB? was nominated for Best Game Show or Quiz Program.
In the 12th year of the Asian Television Awards 2007 (ATA 2007), they reduced their categories into 29 categories to ensure better representation of the productions in Asia.

nangangarap lang ang mga Kanguso sa GME PanisTV nila…
TFC lang ang No1 Filipino Channel sa Middle East Region,,, sang proof dyan e un nilalangaw na mga shows ng GME dito sa UAE specifically sa Dubai and Abu Dhabi…
un PanisTV nakikisawsaw lang sila sa Orbit at yung isang engot dyan na nagsabing maraming foreign channels ang PanisTV, napaka-engot nya kasi add-on lang po ang PanisTV at di GME ang may-ari ng Orbit…super sawsaw lang sila…kung may subscriber man ang Orbit un ay dahil sa HBO, Discovery ang other English Channel hindi dahil sa PanisTV…..

Ganun din naman ang ABS-CBN shows humahakot din ng parangal sa ibang-bansa. Yun nga lang alam ng mga matatalino at mga mas nakakaalam sa ating bansa na ang ABS-CBN ay magaling kayat lahat ng mga universities sa Pilipinas including UP ay humahanga sa ABS-CBN kayat the Best TV Station Award goes to channel 2.

ABS-CBN Telenovelas super Hits sa AFRICA
ABS-CBN’s drama series like The Promise (Pangako Sa Yo), Timeless (Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas) and The Long Wait (Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay) are all blockbuster hits in Africa.
“African TV stations broadcast at least one ABS-CBN Philippine telenovela a day while the other TV stations air two to three times a week,” says Reena de Guzman-Garingan, International Sales and Distribution Director at ABSCBN Broadcasting Corporation. “There are channels that have been broadcasting two Philippine telenovelas from Monday to Friday and another one on Saturdays and Sundays. In countries like Kenya, Cameroon and Tanzania at least two networks are currently airing ABS-CBN Philippine telenovelas, which always consist in 45-to-50-minute episodes,” explains the executive.
Kristine Hermosa is now a superstar in Africa as the continent was hit by Philippine telenovela craze, spawning websites and fan clubs.
“Our telenovelas are the hot items in foreign newspapers; there’s the case of a TV station in Africa that delayed its launch hoping to have the Philippine telenovela stars to grace their celebration. The Philippine telenovela business in Africa is a phenomenon and has captured advertising revenues never achieved before by the networks,” states de Guzman-Garingan.
So why does Africa embrace Philippine stories? The executive said it’s because of the mixture of distinct facial features on the screen, ranging from Asian to Spanish, and also explains that due to the infusion of multicultural context, they have captured both female and male audiences. During the World Cup month, the time slots of The Promise, Timeless, The Long Wait and other ABS-CBN’s telenovelas airing on various networks across Africa were pre-empted. As a result, the male audience was warned by their wives of having no meals on their tables for not having their favorite Philippine telenovela on air.

Enrile: Meralco should refund customers’ deposits
Questions service disconnection policy

MANILA, Philippines—Why does Manila Electric Co. disconnect customers unable to pay electric bills within three days of their due date when they are asked to plunk down a two-month deposit for Meralco service?
Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile put this question in an interview with reporters and added that Meralco should return roughly P20 billion that it had collected as billing deposits from its customers.
Enrile said that Meralco should at the very least return half of the billing deposit, based on the average consumption of the consumers. He said this was “unnecessary” because of its disconnection policy.
Interest on funds
“What are these billing deposits for if Meralco cuts off our electricity so quickly? This is just like the meter deposits they collect from clients. Why charge clients for the meters that they need to be able to collect from their clients?” Enrile asked.
Enrile proposed the inclusion of the refund of both the P20 billion in meter deposits and P20 billion in customers’ deposits in the ongoing review of the Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001.
Enrile said the biggest question on these deposits was where the Lopezes were using the interest income earned from these cash advances. “The interest on these funds should have been used to reduce the cost of electricity,” he said.
The blast against Meralco by Enrile, who was defense secretary when the dictator Ferdinand Marcos declared martial law in 1972 and ordered the seizure of Meralco, was the latest in a series of attacks by administration allies against the utility company.
Critics of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo said that government threats to wrest from the Lopez family control of Meralco and break up its franchise were a result of the vigorous stand taken by ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp., the giant radio-television network owned by the Lopezes, against corruption.
Administration supporters say moves against Meralco were prompted by Meralco’s power rates, which are considered the highest in Asia next to Japan.
Meter deposit refund
Meralco recently said that it would start refunding meter deposits including interest four years after the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) ordered a stop to this practice.
Enrile said that Meralco should do the same with the billing deposits. “What happens to deposits paid by consumers when they move to another house?”
He also vowed to block the move by Meralco to pass on its obligations to National Power Corp. because the consumers had already paid for them in the past years.
Enrile said he had received a text message from Commission on Higher Education Chair Romulo Neri, a former socioeconomic planning secretary, that the P20 billion in obligations were the sole liability of Meralco.
Double whammy
“If these loans are passed on to the consumers, this would mean a double whammy on consumers who would be paying twice for the same item,” Enrile said.
Neri joined a Cabinet meeting in Panglao, Bohol, on Tuesday and spoke against Meralco. Meralco executives present during the meeting said Neri did not do his homework and did not know what he was talking about.
Questionable charges
Sen. Loren Legarda also has questioned the practice of Meralco of allegedly generating cash from questionable charges on consumers that she said had allowed the Lopez management to shift the cost of running the corporation entirely on the shoulders of consumers.
Legarda, a former ABS-CBN television host, noted that Meralco had only borrowed P14.2 billion in bank loans but its non-current liabilities made up of charges and deposits had jumped to P76 billion.
Both Enrile and Legarda noted that aside from billings and meter deposits, Meralco had yet to refund its consumers more than half of the P30-billion tax refund ordered by the Supreme Court and the P450 million in annual corporate electricity bills that Meralco has passed on to consumers.
Meralco vice president Elpi Cuna did not reply to the Philippine Daily Inquirer’s phone calls or text messages seeking comment on the latest blasts from Enrile and Legarda. (Meralco has said that its operations are heavily regulated by the government and that its charges are authorized by law.)
Accusation irresponsible
Cuna did reply to an accusation on Tuesday by Winston Garcia, president and general manager of the Government Service Insurance System, that Meralco was resorting to “dirty tricks” in courting proxy votes for Meralco’s annual stockholders meeting on May 27.
Cuna said the accusation was “not only irresponsible but downright false.”
Garcia, a member of the Meralco board because of government holdings in the utility, has vowed to dismantle Lopez control of the utility and break up the franchise to lower electricity cost.

for me abs-cbn is the real number 1..especially here in davao. Kac minsan lng or hindi pinguusapn ang GMA shows d2…hehe..i’m not rili into tv bcoz of studies & doing my projects but i watch frequently. Pipol here talks about wats happening in “Lobo”..dats is y i’d watched it f i hd tym..(angel locsin is so hot & sexy specially during the ramp scene)…for those who hd watch..hehe…infairness to marian she’s pretty but pretty only…i don’t find her gud in acting…i wish she will improve more…bcoz ANGEL LOCSIN was improve very well in ABS-CBN bcoz they olweiz conducts workshops b4 they do a show & Angel undergoes with it…dat s y ABS is the best in developing Actors & Actresses…GMA lacks on creativity which ABS mastered enough! bow! hehehehe…

Months ago, buzz about Judy Ann Santos transferring to another network surfaced after a much talked-about rift erupted between her manager Alfie Lorenzo and ABS-CBN. The misunderstanding was more of a tampuhan between Juday’s camp and Star Cinema, when the latter’s self-produced art film Ploning went head to head with former’s When Love Begins starring Anne Curtis and Aga Muhlach. Juday promoted Ploning on the rival network, leading people to speculate she was leaving ABS-CBN.
But just this week, Star Cinema’s head Malou Santos revealed that the big bosses of ABS-CBN, including Chaiman and CEO Gabby Lopez, had met with Juday and her manager to discuss her projects with the network. One of her new projects will the teleserye Humiling Ka Lang Sa Langit, which will reunite her with Ysabella co-star Derek Ramsay. Their taping schedules were temporarily halted because of the tampuhan incident and Juday’s vacation in Europe.
Now that she’s back—and engaged to Ryan Agoncillo to boot, Juday is set to conquer the boob tube and the big screen once again. According to Malou Santos, a Juday-Claudine Barretto movie is underway and they are currently looking for material worthy of the Kapamilya network’s prime actresses.
Aside from the movie and the teleserye, ABS-CBN is also working on a sitcom to star Juday and her real life beau, Ryan Agoncillo. Juday has appeared in a number of successful light romantic-comedy films and fans are raring to see her do some comedy on TV. Ryan, on the other hand, is also set to appear in Pieta, another ABS-CBN.
Juday’s contract with ABS-CBN expires in May 2009
