Opening of UAAP Season 70
Posted by: iostream @ 3:53 pm in: Sports (5,118 views) July 7th, 2007The University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 70 opened with colorful rites today at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
“Winners All” has been the event’s theme for this year’s season and the University of Santo Tomas (UST) hosted this year’s event. UST won last year’s Men’s basketball title against Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU). It is a big comeback for the De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers after being banned in UAAP Season 69 after being found guilty for fielding ineligible players in its basketball team in 2003 and 2004.
The DLSU Green Archers will face the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons at 2 p.m. whereas the National University (NU) Bulldogs and Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws will clash in another game at 4 p.m
First-round sports in this event also includes men’s baseball, women’s softball, men’s and women’s chess, taekwondo, judo, and swimming.

I used to have high respect on ateneo since they are good opponents, they are sport, and the good feeling last year when we share our “GO USTE” with them and cheer their “GO ATENEO!”
However can anyone explain the attitude they showed after our last encounter?? Like shouting “ibagsak” when our hearts are breaking? or cheering our go uste for insulting us? They are MORE LIKE BEING LA SALLITES! Where are your backbone guys? Anyway, Im hoping UE will make for they really deserve it. Im bitter!
