PERC: Philippines “Most Corrupt” in Asia
Posted by: iostream @ 12:17 am in: News & Current Events (5,260 views) March 11th, 2008Philippines has been perceived by foreign businessmen as Asia’s most corrupt economy based on the results of a regional poll conducted by a Hong Kong-based group, Political and Economic Risk Consultancy (PERC) on 1,400 expatriate businessmen last January and February this year.
In a grading system used by PERC under which zero is the best possible score and 10 the worst, Philippines got 9.0, dropping to the bottom of a list of 13 countries. Thailand remained the second most corrupt economy after the Philippines with a score of 8.0 while Indonesia ranked behind Thailand with a score of 7.98.

this is not so surprising!!! whoever will this Filipino people will vote for the highest position.. you are not going anywhere good… this teachers and other church officals are too Pontius-Pilate alike…corruption starts in little ways…. students should know this… don’t you ever be ignorant or pretending not knowing something..

this is one truth that almost everybody agrees on.magmula sa pinakamataas na nanunungkulan hanggang sa pinakamababang posisyon sa gobyerno umaalingasaw ang korapsiyon. nakakahiya talaga ang imahe ng pilipinas sa ibang bansa. ang tanong na lang e, bilang pilipino may ginagawa ka ba para baguhin ito, o mas binibigyan mo ng panahon ang labanang kapuso’t kapamilya?

Do not over fixated on the survey says, because survey bring us in the world of frustration. If we still consider Philippines is the most corrupt country in Asia. so what?
If you want truly understand something, try to change it. Do not ever give up if you still want to try, do not ever wipe your tears if you still want to cry. Do not ever settle for an answer if you still want to know.

It’s pathetic , i felt bad for my family who’s still there in the philippines …. My friends here in the mainland are very much in a mix from caucasian , to all asian ethnic background , jewish , persians , also from turkey and armenia and me of course the one and only filipino although i’ve been here for more than 2 decades in some ways i’m still filipino by nature ( for one thing i am a die hard TFC teleserye addict ) …. to make the long story short , i cant possibly in a way be proud of my country , the corruption is quite obvious , everytime there is somewhat of a news in the philippines from Fox News to Cnn it’s not in anyway a good news if not something that makes you wanna hide from your friends because for sure they will ask and more often i dont have a good explanation .

hay naku hays. stop blaming the lopezes for the increase in your electricity bill. kung tutuusin nga, you’re paying lower electricity bills than us kasi our power is generated by electric cooperatives whose generation charge is higher than that of meralco. if meralco makes the mistake of charging consumers higher, the govt. compels them to refund. but in our case, we have to live with the harsh reality that there would be no such refunds. they sometimes misuse their funds & yet we bear the burden of paying them. and one more thing, the lopezes are not pro-gma; perhaps they supported her during edsa2 but now i believe they too feel sorry for having supported her like i did as pgma turned out to be worse than pres. erap.

maging aral na lang sana sa gobyerno ang sagot ni janina san miguel. dagdagan ang pondo pra sa edukasyon. at sana pag may pondo nman, gamitin sa dapat paggamitan hndi ung ilalaan sa pansariling interest. napakababa na ng quality ng edukasyon sa Pilipinas. naturingan pa nman tayong nasa top 3 ng english speaking countries pero nakakahiya lang. nakita ko nga sa YSpeak episode last saturday, sa rank ng universities around the world, nasa top 300+ lang UP, 400+ naman ang ateneo and la salle.. natalo pa tayo ng singapore and Japan. sila na top 50.. kita naman kahit mga pinakamatataas na opisyal ng Pilipinas, mas masahol pa sila sa mga walang pinag-aralan.. magaling lang ang Pilipino sa pagyayabang..

nakakalungkot isipin na nangunguna na tayo sa pinaka – corrupt na bansa sa buong Asia, biruin mo naman dati pumapangalawa tayo sa pinaka-mayaman na bansa panguna ang Japan ngayon di na pero kahit paano mga pang 11 na lang tayo at una lang sa atin ang China ngunit kahit pang 11 pa tayo kung marunong nga lang tayo magpahalaga sa sarili nating bayan lalo at kung marunong nga lang mahiya ang mga buwaya sa gobyerno mula sa pinaka-mataas at sa pinaka-simpleng posisyon maaabot natin at maibabalik natin ang sigla ng ating bayan!

this is very stupid!!! a shaming armor this government can provide..
but at our level guys we can still do something to deduce the corruption level though our vote in may 2010 elections. scrutinize our candidates very well. choose for the lesser evil when it comes to corruption. least we can trimmed it down, the philippines, my country will be back in track.
have your vote counted and not just a vote. it is your big vote esp for the presidency… look into them very well… who has the least tendency to go corrupt.
